Onew Hospitalized after Music Bank Accident

After Sungmin‘s unfortunate accident during their rehearsal at KBS Music Bank last June 26, it was totally unexpected that another accident will occur and the victim was again another SM artist.

During the finale of Music Bank Special where all the performers were gathered on stage, apparently one of the huge lighting structure fell towards SHINee member Onew who was standing nearby. Fortunately, Super Junior sunbaes Siwon and Kyuhyun were able to prevent the whole structure from hitting him and possibly causing serious damage. Onew who was thankfully not harmed, fainted instead due possibly to the shock and mental distress brought by the whole scary incident. He was carried by his manager backstage and was rushed to the hospital to make sure he’s ok. Earlier on the show, Onew has slipped during their performance due to the slippery floor caused by 2Ne1‘s wet ‘Umbrella’ performance. Poor leader Onew. KBS should seriously streghten their safety measures to prevent another accident like that to happen. What if nobody was there to save Onew? I shudder at the thought of what might have happened.

One of Asia’s biggest group Dong Bang Shin Ki, has 3 of its members in a possible lawsuit against their own company SM Entertainment.

Dong Bang Shin Ki members Xiah JunSu, Micky YooChun and Hero JaeJoong had gone to Seoul Central District Court to hand in an application for provisional disposition to terminate all effects of their exclusive belonging rights contract with SM on 31st July.

It has been known that their reasons for doing so is that the contract with SM Entertainment has many irrelevant conditions attached. It is also known that the content to the contract the 3 members cannot agree to includes having them belonging exclusively to SM Entertainment for 13 years and also unhappiness over profit allocation.

The lawyer responsible for this case said, “We are currently preparing for a lawsuit against SM for this contract. (About the reasons to why) We cannot reveal the details now.”

There has also been saying that the 3 members have differing views to SM on their upcoming ‘Dong Bang Shin Ki cosmetic enterprise expansion’.

Currently out of the 3 members, JunSu is already doing a cosmetic business with his parents. It is said that there were plans for the company to operate a cosmetic business, with sheep placenta as the main ingredient, using the group’s name as the brand name in Seoul GangNam and GyeongGiDo IlSan. It is said that there were also plans for the business to be launched in China bringing in hundreds millions KRW in profit.

But it has been said that the 2 sides are having some differing views and also complications arose through their discussion on how the product and brand will go.

One of the Korean new media has known through phone call from SM and SM said, “We are aware that some of the DBSK members have some disagreements with the company, but we do not know that they have sparked a lawsuit with the company. The director board of the company is currently having an urgent meeting in an undisclosed place in Seoul to discuss about their countermeasures.”

They also added, “We will have our official stand asap”.

A fancam taken before SNSD peformed ‘Etude’ on Music Core last June 27 captured Yoona lifting Tiffany’s skirt and looking so shocked at what she saw underneath. Yoona then can be seen mouthing ‘You didn’t wear it?’. She was of course referring to their ‘shorts’ that they have to wear underneath their skirts to avoid flashing the audience during their performance. Yoona obviously worried, Sooyoung who’s standing next to her grabbed Tiffany and turned her over to check if anything’s visible. After checking, Sooyoung and Yuri who’s behind Yoona assured an embarrassed Tiffany that ‘it’ won’t show.

When the video was uploaded over the internet, fans had mixed reactions over this issue. Some fans were appalled that Yoona would dare lift Tiffany’s skirt in public and on stage! They thought she was rude for doing this especially since she’s younger than Tiffany. Others though defended her, saying Yoona looked genuinely worried and that she was just being a good friend trying to prevent possible ‘accidents’ to happen. Other fans also criticized Tiffany for being ‘slutty’, not wearing the shorts on purpose, etc. Sigh. Koreans are so hard to please.

If you ask me, this seems a perfectly normal situation between these 9 girls – checking and making sure that they’re all ok and everything’s workin fine. As for Yoona flipping Tiffany’s skirt, she probably notice that something’s amiss that’s why she checked but she shouldn’t have lifted her skirt right then and there. And Tiffany should have worn the shorts if she didn’t want her panties exposed to the world. Hope they’re careful next time.
