Orange Caramel is a South Korean girl group under the label of Pledis Entertainment. Orange Caramel is the first sub-unit announced and debuted from After School. On June 6th, 2010, Pledis Entertainment announced Nana as the first member of Orange Caramel. Each of the following members were announced individually, with Raina announced as the second member on June 7th, and Lizzy as the final member of the group on June 8th. Nana, Raina and Lizzy were at that moment the youngest members from After School, and they were selected because the innocent and cute image of the new unit.
They debuted on 16 June 2010 with their title track, "Magic Girl". They also released a version of "Orange Caramel - The First Mini Album" in Taiwan. In the Taiwan version, they recorded a Mandarin version of "The Day You Went Away", which is a cover from Cyndi Wang. The song is released as Special for Taiwan. Later in September, they released "Orange Caramel - The Second Mini Album" with their title track, "A~ing♡."
